School Supplies

Teachers will tell students what supplies they need for their specific classes. The list below is a basic list of supplies that most students will need. They may need to purchase additional items after school starts. If you need assistance with purchasing supplies, please contact the Counseling Center.

  • Lined paper
  • Three-ring binder notebook with divider tabs
  • Pens and pencils
  • Erasers
  • Colored pencils and/or markers
  • Post-it notes or similar
  • Ruler
  • Glue stick or tape
  • Construction and poster paper for projects
  • Access to newspapers and/or news magazines
  • Dictionary and thesaurus

A note about calculators: Before buying a calculator, it is wise to talk with your student about their math and science goals. Ideally, you only need to buy one calculator for high school, and with planning, that can be accomplished. Students who plan to take advanced math and science classes need a high-quality graphing calculator. Your student should talk to their math teacher once school starts to determine the best calculator for their needs.
